icons of cerebria

“The visible history, the history proceeding on the surface, the history of crime, attributes to itself what the hidden history has created. But actually the visible history is always deceived by what the hidden history has created.” – P.D. Ouspensky, Notre Dame de Paris, in Sketches, in A New Model of the Universe.

“… the heart’s thought personifies, ensouls, and animates the world.” – James Hillman, The Thought of the Heart.

1The diviners of cerebria were charged by the voids to impart thought to the sailors. 2This they attempted to do in silence. 3They fashioned icons and placards, as markers of their thought, and put them on the plains and lowlands frequented by sailors on their travels. 4They were intended as mementos for the sailors.
