crone

crone

wraps the shawl around her
in a way of saying

i’m enough –

sits in front of our block
her old bones chilled –

warming now, us seeing her

knowing we want her,
the wise crone in our lives

hello Ron
When her husband, the king dies, the queen becomes a crone. She puts him in a pot. It completes the circle when the princess’s baby becomes the king (or the king becomes the baby). Although this can most probably be sourced from books, it is a Rom story from my grandmother.
